Lots of good knowledge given here . I have a ford Hp44 sitting in the shop corner that I have thought alot about over the years for my LJ. Depends on where you wanna be in your build. Biggest thing Ill add if welding to cast understand what you are doing . Preheat and post heat and peen the weld . Ernickle if SMAW , high nickle filler if GTAW. You dont want to be that A hole friend that we got to fix to get over the last obstical to get back on the 2 lane blacktop . BTDT that simple 2 hour crawl up a washed out streambed in monteagle TN ended up a 3 day affair to get a friends rigg out .
