High pitched squeal

2004 TJ, I6 with 5 speed manual. When cold I get a high pitched squeal when I get to around 2500 rpms., all gears. Push in the clutch noise goes away or let up on throttle noise goes away. Once engine & trans. warmed up, no squeal. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I will have to try it when it is cold; haven't tried it yet.

Any oil leaks? A bit of oil on the clutch could let it slip a bit when torque is building up. Also the pinion bearing in the clutch could be crap.
Are you sure it's from that area? A bad front accessory belt can also squeal when there is too much load on it.

Sounds like your serpentine belt, spray some wd40 on it while it’s running and see if it goes away

Hmmm, you might be onto something there. Thanks, will check. Have belt dressing.
