Went to screw on some door guides and they fit my passenger door no problem. Won't screw onto my driver door at all. Looks like the threads need some repair. What is the best way to do this without removing the hinge from the door.

You would need about 1/2" of space (from the center of the bolt) to use a thread die.
You might be able to straighten the threads with a small screwdriver.
Then take a nut with matching threads and slowly work it on and off.
Worse case, cut off the last couple of threads with a hacksaw.

I keep a set of thread files in my fab tools box for just such a thing. I just used one on a wheel stud that had similar damage.

Considering it. May tap out the original, repair the thread and reinstall to keep the green paint.
It is splined so it should go back tight. Be careful to not hit the pin too hard and move the hinge itself. Brace the hinge against something and make sure you put cloth or rubber against the brace to prevent marring.
