How do you get the front seat tumble and fold cable to release?

Need some help - I'm trying to replace the OEM seats with Bestop Trailmax, and the instructions say "unclip the cable" but it's not cooperating. When I look at other posts, the clip doesn't look the same either. Before I result to brute force or just cutting the cable (I'd like to try to get the tumble-and-fold to work on the Bestop seats later), I thought I'd ask for advice or tricks here.

Other interesting things I've noticed:
- this riser was on 2" blocks. I don't think that's normal....the previous owner was a 7 footer, so I'm guessing he made the seats more comfortable for himself?
- I just noticed the riser has a code imprinted, SMITJ6701...is this maybe not OEM and maybe a Smittybuilt part?

Any thoughts? Do I just pry the plastic bits on the cable through the metal clamp? or just cut the wire?

Thanks Paul! Got it - it was actually a two part effort:
Step 1: push the plastic part at the end (far right in the picture) out/right further
Step 2: squeeze the middle plastic bit (on the right side of the metal clip in the middle) and push it through the metal clip.

Nearly got the seats in...
