does not look bad for a northeast jeep...did you peak into the frame holes to see if any scaling was there?

From the outside it looks pretty clean, but remember the TJ frames rot from the inside out, so they look decent til it's too late. Only way to know for sure is a flashlight and a tiny inspection mirror to peek inside the rails. On the plus side the under tub looks clean, no issues with the body mounts.

As said, outside looks great. Look inside. Torque box too. A dental mirror helps for me.

This plan sounds solid. From the looks of it, some here would be envious

Doesn't look bad. Get out a wire wheel and some elbow grease and clean up the surface rust (especially under the transfer case skid where it attaches to the frame) and you'll be good to go. Coat the inside too with Eastwood Internal Frame Coating.
