How many of us here play guitar?

Sure have, they've been around a long time. I have yet to purchase anything from them, though before snagging the LE Cabronita above, I was considering getting a 1 piece ash Tele/Cabronita body and pickguard from them to use with a roadworn neck I have.

From shortly after I started playing, I started taking them apart and messing with them as well. It's kind of how I ended up painting cars, I stated refinishing guitars and necks first. And rewiring them, lots of that as well.



Good looking fiddle. I live about 1.25 miles (as the crow flies) from the PRS factory. I'll stop by and talk to Paul, see what I can do for you...

Yeah, they are not inexpensive. That said, you do get something quite nice for the money, based on my limited experience with them.

I have an old Alvarez Dove aka "lawsuit guitar" as it was a Japanese copy of the Gibson Dove. Inlaid with abalone. Those are my Congas in the background. I never took enough time to practice so I'm not good at either the guitar or the Congas.

Any of you pickers play Townes Van Zandt stuff?

I agree, my buddy has a PRS Silver Sky, and damn that thing is nice. Going back to the west coast to play it next week lol

I used to play a lot in my younger years. I still play once a week or so. My long time 72 Gibson SG Pro with some modifications is one of the last 3 I still have. The other decent one I have is an Ibanez Prestige. The other is an old Telecaster.

I've got a few Peavy amps to go along with them. A classic 30, a 6505 and a Bandit 112.... depending on what mood I'm in. An assortment of peddles, a Vox 'bender" (828 model) and some other classic effects I've picked up along the way... some in need of repair. I've got 2 metal 5 gallon cans with some radio shack speakers in them wrapped in duct tape with surgical tube that resulted in a poor man's talk box effect too.

I gravitate to the power chord stuff and hard/heavy rock area most of the time.

Back in the day I sang in a cover band for about 6 months during my college days. Not very good but we got free drinks.
