How screwed am I?

So this guys vice technique is not too bad other then a couple things I would not do. First no matter how safe you think you can be do not try to clamp the tube in the vice even over top of the weld. One wrong move and you will dent the tube. This goes for if you need to "ring" the cap to loosen the retaining rings or for installing the new joint. Both of those operations can just be done on a flat bench. Next is overdriving the new caps. I understand what he was trying to accomplish but with the exception of some double cardans I try to ovoid this as it can risk crushing the thrust washer that is in most non greaseable ujoints.
