The brake switch is a twist lock. You do not need any tools to adjust it. Do not remove the harness, it is harder then adjusting it alone. Look under console to locate brake switch. Grab brake switch firmly and twist. It should pretty much fall right out. The twist lock is no longer square with the switch it is off center. The plunger can only be pulled out in this position. In the locked position you cannot pull it out. In the unlocked position pull plunger tell fully extended. Look under the dash and reinsert plunger and switch there is a tab on the locking mechanism you will see where it goes. As you insert it will depress the plunger on the brake arm to the proper length. When you twist and lock it in place it will set the length. At this point your brake lights may still be on, a short drive and depressing the brake several times will reset it to properly working. Attached is a link to a YouTube video that I found that is helpful and understanding the way it works. Just do not depress plunger before installing like he did. Let it depress on it's own as you install.

Not quite accurate. I've adjusted every single one in place locked into the pedal assembly. Just take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the plunger out. Pops right out to the fully extended position, release brake pedal and it will come up and set the correct depth of the plunger.
