How to disassemble the window regulator handle

Hello guys:
I want to paint the door trim panels in my 97'TJ and I don't know the trick to dissasemble the window regulator handle. Someboby know the trick?

That foam cushion between the actual handle and door trim make it hard to see but there is a "snap-ring" holding the door handle on the shaft. I just put mine back on yesterday minus that foam cushion cause it was blocking my view for reassembly. Ha!

Therefore, from the first moment, the foam ring to the garbage ...hahaha! Thanks a lot!

Pedro I kept my cushions thinking I can cut a slit on one side and then slip them back on around the shaft...they should stay on that way!

Ok. So, I'll try, and then a drop of loctite to close the foam ring.
