You mentioned that you figured out if the Body Harness of an 2004 and 2005 were capable. Currently I am looking into this myself as I need the answer as well after a few of my OEM connectors have gone bad. What were your conclusions, were you able to make it work ?

I ended up basically making a splice kit instead of replacing both harnesses. Since I only took out the wires that I needed, it didn’t matter if the donor had the O/D switch - wouldn’t be using it anyways.

Thank you for the awsome writeup. I Did the full wiring harness swap this weekend, I Have one question Will the rear wiper washer pump work to test without the top on ?
You could read the voltages on the pins after you get the pin out, is out there somewhere. But it might be easier to put the top and connect the harness and check.
