Ok, my problem is that I have a super annoying whistling noise coming from somewhere in the engine bay/dash of my Jeep. it only happens when I accelerate in gear. I have a 5spd manual transmission. when I just sit at idle it doesn't make this noise and when I rev the engine with it, not in gear it doesn't make this noise. I have replaced the serp belt and both the idler pullies. A friend of mine says he thinks it is coming from somewhere in the dash on the passenger's side, he says he thinks it has something to do with the vacuum system. A while ago I had my check engine light come on and the code said it had something to do with a faulty vacuum hose. Please help, it is super annoying and I want to make sure its not something that is hurting my baby, shows been through a lot, thanks.

It sounds like you may have answered your own question and it is likely a vacuum leak.
Follow all your vacuum lines until you find a break or disconnected line. Start with the heater/AC actuators.
