Identify body port and nuts

My 2005 TJ has this large, 1” diameter “port?” at the bottom front of both body side panels. It was covered by a plastic film. It looks OEM, what is it for? Should it remain open or is there a plug I’m missing?

Also there are two inside threaded nuts to the rear of the large port. Are these OEM and what are they for?

The large port is where the factory held the tub when it was set on the frame if I recall..the 2 threaded holes are for the small flare extension you are missing
