Idle Problems (ECM Replacement)

I'm new to the Jeep forum.
My 2006 Jeep TJ Rubicon Unlimited will not idle, tried starting it several times and it would idle for 5-10 minutes and then die. Eventually the Jeep would not even turn over. My mechanic determined that it was the ECM.
He quoted me $2,500. Do those symptoms appear to be consistent with a bad ECM?
Any help would be appreciated.

Have a chat with Mark at wranglerfix before you have your mechanic do anything with your PCM. He's the guru for TJ pcms

Save yourself $1500 or so and put it in yourself. Nothing too it.

Are you dead certain it's the ECU? Checked for vacuum leaks? Battery is good? Grounds?

He has the crap 06 PCM. Been there done that earlier this yr. Almost certainly the PCM. If not, it's coming up soon.

Wranglerfix PCM, and no no more stalling, gauges dropping out, etc. Also, the voltage reg is set to a decent voltage for charging AGM batteries now.

Oh by the way, my jeep only has 50,000 miles on it
