If I could do that , I would want a Rubicon driveline and disc brakes mated to a 32 RH tranny and 2000 seats or earlier-

What would you mix and match if you could?

2002 4.0L (already fixed head cracking), NV3550, Dana 44 front and Dana 44 rear with disc brakes and selectable lockers (Rubicon), NV241OR (Rubicon), Interior (Rubicon or Sahara), 16" rims with GY MTRs (Rubicon or Sahara), fold and tumble seats on drivers and passenger sides.

I agree, Rubi drivetrain with a 32RH. And I'm gettin close. My '02 4.0 has a Rubi Dana 44 with disks, I've got an HP30 in front with an ARB locker, 4:10 gears, alloy axles with big u joints up front. And I just put a Valco BBK in front too.

Only thing I need now is the NP241OR, and I think I've got a line on one!

But it is gettin spendy! 😸

All set up for a 35" tire build-

JK rear 44 narrowed to TJ width.
JK front HP 30 narrowed to TJ width.
Nag1 5 speed auto shortened to fit in a TJ.
Dana 300 aluminum case with 4-1 gear set.
JK seats a bit narrowed to fit the TJ interior but complete with all factory adjustment features.
3-4 more inches of wheel base in the TJ.
Flat spring perches rear.

Things I would like to see that aren't out there.
Adjustable track bars
Adjustable control arms
Slightly heavier duty steering similar to a ZJ V8 without the silly bends.

1999 Fern Green Sahara, mated to a Rubicon front and rear Dana 44, a 241OR, and a 42RLE transmission. I'd also want the '03 up rear seat brackets, along with a subwoofer console. The only under hood swap would be a distributorless ignition, keeping the '99 head and exhaust.

Edit: What the hell, while I'm dreaming make it a 1999 Fern Green LJ Sahara!

I love my '98 Sahara with 4.0L, AX-15, rear Dana 44 and 3.73 gears. I only wish it had Dana 44 front with Rubicon lockers along with the lower ratio T-case and 4.10 gears. I like everything else about the Jeep though including the color combo (moss green on tan).

Sounds like you want a JK chassis with a TJ tub.

Isn't the Dana 300 what the Atlas is patterned off?

plus the CJ Tailgate and the CJ sport bar

It's this supposed to be all TJ parts? If so, I don't think it gets better than an 04 Rubicon... Maybe an LJ if you want the extra overhang.

If it's an open the Jeep catalog thing... My dream has already been built... The concept CJ-66. It's a hemi, JK axles, LJ chassis, CJ6 body. Its a perfect blend of old and new, to me.
