Got my first Jeep a few weeks ago. 2003 with 152,000 miles. When I remove the key almost every other time I can't get it out without fooling around with the lock button for 30 seconds or so. It's getting annoying, is there something wrong or worn out or is this just the wat Jeeps are?

Mine mostly sticks to the "in" position so is thus defeated, but I've noticed recently that its popping out more than it used to. When I get good and annoyed with it, I'm gonna E-6000 glue it "in". Americans and their interlocks - and this is the most nonsensical one of them all! Yet American cars were the very last in the world to get the common-fucking-sense "lock out the starter if the engine is running" setup.
