Info on NV1500 to NV3550 swap?

Can someone give me info on what it takes to us the NV3550 in place of the Crap NV1500?

I’ve seen that it’s done, but no one ever gives specifics. Is it just a bell housing and cross member swap?... or does it take more customization?
