To start with the obvious yes i have installed a brand new switch. With both old and new switch lights only come on when switch is only slightly pulled out. Was working fine until recently very weird. Recently installed new radio but unplugged it and no change. Wondering if it’s related to new LED headlamps which have their own flickering issues but have been installed for a month and cluster was fine. I’m pretty good at electrical trouble shooting but this one is strange. Any ideas?

As. update the lights only come on when switch is half way between off and 1st position. Same with old or new switch. Also applies to the running lights only on when switch is half way on. Also happens with or without key in ignition. Still wondering if PCM is confused by the LED lights except cluster has been working up till now
I would agree also as a further update the same situation also occurs in between the first switch on position and the full on position. Also applies to the running lights which only come on same time cluster lights are on. If never worked i’d suspect previous owner wiring issues. Fact that it was working is the weird part. Also since they flash tells me fuses are ok even though i’ve checked them anyway. Need a good wiring diagram
So finally solved this after needlessly replacing the switch. Got real deep into the electrical diagrams in the FSM which were a bit challeging even though I have some experience with diagrams. Traced the problem to no power coming into the headlight switch.
Turned out fuse 1 was no good. Of course that was the first thing I checked as well as all the fuses. And upon very close inspection it looks just fine. Only after testing it with a multimeter was I able to see it was gone, new fuse problem solved as well as the DRL.
Rule #1 always check the obvious first, which I did but not thorough enough.
The lights coming on between switch positions was odd, the switch is fed by more than one power source so I am assuming there must be some cross connections in the in between positions that sent power to the lights.
