After dealing with an intermittent wiring issue I finally determined which wire was causing the issue. Then, to my surprise, when I went to fix it I discovered half a dozen damaged wires. These are all about 8 inches down from the power distribution center. All have rub marks from the cat gut surrounding the bundle.
I am thinking it would be easier to stagger in a single splice per wire into the main harness and then plug the other end into the power distribution center. My problem is I do not know where to find the adapters for the power distribution center.
My other thought would be double splices per wire. The advantage to this would be that I can keep both ends of the wire the original color and do not need to find adapters.
I thought about soldering but decided marine grade butt connectors which seal when heated may be a better choice.
Thoughts?
