Although I agree, making a one off is WAAAY different from going into production. A friend made a *KILLER* rifle rest, and was trying to make more of them. He gave up - and I wanted one! I myself make a reproduction ancient Egyptian musical instrument called a "Sistrum". The first couple were easy, then I had to design for manufacturablity, and there's *always* something. Suppliers changing the FFF (Form, Fit, Function) of the components involved, having to source alternates when a component is suddenly not available from where you've been obtaining it, getting raw materials of the correct specs, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah...

The bumper is certainly worthy of production, but its a headache. That's why they're so darn expensive!

I was just kidding! I've worked in production and manufacturing for years now so I understand the headaches of trying to make one offs into a semi regular production

My current company makes line automation manufacturing systems for manufacturing companies. Our "genius" salesmans keep trying to copy and paste previous one off systems that were pains in the ass to make and I'm pretty sure by time it's completed and modified for the specific customer we loose our ass in profits Our salesmen will learn better someday haha

I would maybe finish out at least the lower ends of the stock bumper to clean up the look a bit, and what @mrblaine said. Maybe get those plastic end covers and drill them for the tube to go through?

SEM matte black...sold at body shop Supply houses.

Yes this whole thing was done in about 45 minutes so we haven't got the closure figured out yet and I'm just now chasing down details.

thank you I really appreciate the feedback from you guys and it makes me feel like I haven't messed this thing up more than it's already messed up with its bed liner paint job and all that...

This one isn't about being politically correct or anything... It's just a TJ Rubi I picked up at a good deal and it's a pretty good slate to play with.

Probably get me sued just what will happen

The biggest thing to me was getting something I couldn't have... I'm not going to spend that kind of money on a bumper for a Rubicon that only cost $9,300.... I just wanted to see if I could do it.

In my line of work I constantly get women coming to me with pictures from Pinterest they want me to replicate and scale to work in their house. This project was basically the same thing.
