Earl B TJ Enthusiast Joined May 4, 2019 Messages 108 Location Nashville Aug 9, 2019 #6 You have to cut the brass on a lathe for the new brushes to seat correctly. To put new brushes on a unturned armature you would have to sand the outside of the brushes to fit the bowl of the brass stacks.
