Hey all, I am meeting up with this guy tonight to purchase his hardtop. Do you think this is a reasonable deal if the top is a nice as it looks in the ad?

Great deal I paid $800.00 for my spice colored top with defrost/wiper and had to drive 10 hours to get it. Make sure its not thrashed on/warped and everything works.Hey all, I am meeting up with this guy tonight to purchase his hardtop. And the listing says "Asking price is $600", I bet you can get it for $500. Possibly less. Thanks fellas. He told me that it has a couple scratches and a very small crack that can only be seen when the drivers door is open. Definitely worth taking a look at.
Well, I pulled the trigger on this last night. It has some surface scratches that I would like touch up, or worst case just repaint it black to match the rest of the plastic trim. I spent some time last night looking online for touch up paint, but didn't have any luck. The color of this top is gray, and it is supposedly OEM. Can anyone send me the link to the some touch up paint for this? I found some reference to gray top being called "dark khaki," but if labeled that by Jeep, they may have some colorblind staff on hand lol.
Appreciate the help everyone!
My hard top was grey as well (same as yours), but I repainted it in black. Black looked better and was easier to touch up.
I couldn't ever find the touch up paint for this color, but if you happen to find it, let us know.
Thanks for the info Chris, did you have it painted or paint it yourself? I have thought about painting it along with the fenders, but the prep work alone is discouraging me.
I painted it myself, it was easy. I used sand paper and prepped it which took me about 2 hours tops. Then I masked everything off and painted it with the best spray paint money can buy (IMHO), SEM Trim Black (most painters will agree that is some of the best spray paint out there).
It's held up for years now without an issue, and it looks 100% factory! Did it all in my garage in half a day.
Do you remember, or can you direct me to a thread on the prepping process? This would be uncharted waters for me.
That does look nice. That looks great! Did you paint the fenders with the same paint as the top?
