Is this guy asking too much for this TJ?

As a certified Old Fart I agree. Heat and AC work better, much less noise, I can see through the glass better than plastic and it’s a bit more secure.
When I was looking for my TJ the must haves were Rubicon, LJ, hardtop, manual and any color but black. It took the Wife and I 2 months of looking online multiple times a day before we found our gem 800 miles from home. Your timeline makes it hard to find the perfect TJ and not settle for what’s available now.

I agree, my timeline does make it difficult. However, I also am not too picky about color, transmission, or anything like that. I just want something that’s been well taken care of. I have color preferences but they’re not deal breakers. Black is definitely the color I wanted the least but if it’s optioned the way I want then I don’t mind. You can always make the color work.

I’m more concerned about the condition of the frame & the body. I can do either automatic or manual, and I’d honestly prefer the bells and whistles like cruise control. I want a dana 44 rear, as well. Rubicon would be great but LJR is out of my price range & as much as I want a TJ Rubicon, the LJ is so much more practical. It’s going to be used as a daily and for long road trips to the shoreline.

I like the look and function of a hard top, but removing it and storing it is difficult. I love the Bestop Trektop NX soft top. I have one on my current TJ and I would absolutely get another.

This is cheaper and more practical than an LJ. I've had both.

For what? Children with big feet? 13" behind the rear seat, 2" in front of it. A Kim K ass that hangs up on every drop-off? @Nashville Tj will back me up if you have fordeez. ;)

You know how much plastic surgery it took me to remove that Kim K ass, Boog?

🙂

I don’t see why you would focus on a Rubicon for this. I did some rough Arizona rock trails and easily went over obstacles that a factory Rubicon struggled to navigate, so I say a Rubicon is just a status symbol for your application.
