Question, I have a 1998 TJ with the stock automatic transmission, is was rebuilt about a year before I bought it, I noticed at times when I start the jeep in the morning and put it in reverse it seems to engage slowly. Don't have any other issues with it, only if it has sat for a period of time...is this normal?

How is the fluid level and color?

With an older transmission with some miles on it, yeah, that's normal. If you had it freshly rebuilt it wouldn't do that, but as these things age, stuff like that becomes normal.

I would suggest changing the fluid if you don't know the last time it was done.
