Is this too much rust?

2002 4.0 w/ 122K miles in southeast PA... these are the photos sent to me, too much rust?

It looks as is someone may have drilled drain holes near the rear control arm mounts, which is a good start, but I'd have to give that a close lookover before I bought it. For a winter beater, it might not be a terrible purchase. But I wouldn't buy it to heavily modify it or plan to keep it for years.

That frame has already been capped on one side, which leads me to believe the other side is rusting through. I say pass, unless you can verify the uncapped side is OK, which is unlikely.

I didn't even notice the cap. Only capping one side is a bad sign on many fronts.


Disregard what I said above. I wouldn't buy that for even a winter beater.
