Jeep gets hot between startups

Just wondering if this is normal. I replaced my radiator and my thermostat and bled it properly, so I assume. No issues overheating and I’m running a consistent 195-210 while idling and driving.
I’ll shut the Jeep off, go and start it a few minutes later, and it’ll be 10 or so degrees over 210. Just wondering if this was normal. Coolant levels are good.

Short answer is yes its normal.

Long answer. Coolant does not cycle when the engine is off. The block, head, and exhaust get much hotter than the coolant. When you turn off the engine the coolant temperature is going to be hotter because it is not cooling the engine anymore.

If I can piggy back off this thread...
My jeep seems to run at 210 always, never less never more, my ? I guess would be the amount of time it takes to get to 210, doesn’t matter if it’s cold or hot outside or if the jeeps sat all day, it reaches 210 Almost immediately I’d say no more than 1mile it’s at 210 every time.
Is this normal for these jeeps? 05 tj 4.0 manual...

That’s perfectly normal. Means you’re thermostat is functioning correctly.
