2005 Wrangler gets hot when idle

Hope you guys can help me with this. I have a 2005 Willys Edition that runs red while idling for more than 20 minutes. I've replaced the thermostat, water pump and clutch fan....three different mechanics, three parts and three failures. coolant levels are good, nothing dripping from the tailpipe, no smell of antifreeze coming from the vents....I'm out of ideas...???

Remove your radiator cap and look in there. Take a pic and post it. To me, it sounds like your radiator is next to be replaced. No leaks (visible) I presume?

I'm at work right now but I will post a pic as soon as I get home....I do know it looks a little orange and maybe a little murky.

The radiators will develope cracks in the top plastic cap and not hold pressure as a result. Have you pressure tested your cooling system?

Is your fan shroud in good condition? A damaged/missing fan shroud will contribute to an engine running hot, especially when stopped or at slow speeds. Also few aftermarket radiators few cool as well as the Mopar. If it's an aftermarket radiator it wouldn't be a bad idea to go back to the Mopar.

Also, if your coolant has been mixed with tap water instead of distilled water that can cause hard water (lime) deposits to build up inside and reduce its cooling ability.
