Hello everyone. First let me say thanks for accepting me into the forums. I am a new TJ owner as of today. Bought my first Wrangler a 98 4.0L auto. Runs great once warm. The gentleman I bought it from stated that it hesitates when cold which he is right on. When I put the gas pedal to the floor it stops. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks in advance.

Welcome.
It may just simply be in need of a tuneup, but hopefully one of the guys with a lot more experience on it will come along and have more decisive answers, or suggestions. Good luck!

"Stops" as in stops running?
"Stops" as in stops hesitating when pedal at the floor.

Congrats BTW on the purchase

I assume it's not throwing any codes?

Also, fixed the thread title for you (y)

Thanks Chris. I haven't had it diagnosed yet. Also according to the previous owner said the "computer" was stolen and he had it "flashed" so it runs? Is this something I should fix soon as well?
