Hello, when I bought my 98 TJ it already had a cold air intake. Ive never liked them so would like to swap it back out to the stock configuration....is this doable? What all would be involved?
I did it when I first got my Jeep... super simple. Either sell the CAI on eBay or find a Jeep group on Facebook and offer it as a free trade for a stock one (what I did). It was up only 30 min when someone pinged me lol.
I checked on EBay for the parts you need; those people are price gouging....
Post your CAI parts up in the FOR SALE/TRADE section of the forum; I am sure someone will be interested.

Good decision!!! If your CAI is presentable you should be able to at least sell it for more than enough to buy a used replacement air intake. Look for one from a 1997 to 2004, the 2005-6 models are a bit different with an extra hole in them for a sensor. Swapping would be an easy one-banana job.
You might also consider the Windstar cowl intake. It's an inexpensive, popular modification that takes up less room than factory and is very easy to find in a junkyard.
