I just did a transmission swap. My other transmission was slipping bad. But the new transmission came out of a running jeep. I was told.... Runs perfect in drive shifts thou all gears perfect. Once warm I put in reverse it boggs down lose all power. It feels like my drum brakes are locked up. There not it just feels like it. Just replaced them..When I shift to neutral from reverse it revs up then comes down to idle.

Non electronic transmission

Possibilities-

- blocked valve/pinched line

- some type of fluid transfer issue

I know this isn’t much to go on...posting to help your thread get stay up.

Having the same problem it sounds like rpms go way up and then back to normal when shifting but when shifting in reverse it dies not e erveytime though and just had transmission rebuilt did you find what you're problem was
