I have an Automatic 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Recently I was going down the interstate at around 70 mph and the Jeep decided to slow down to about 45-50 mph. Pulled over to the side of the road and started it up and limped home at 45 mph. No check engine lights on the dash. The Jeep is continuing to bog down at about 45 and almost makes a strange whining noise almost like a pump straining noise when accelerating. The Jeep just struggles to accelerate up to speeds and at some points won’t accelerate at all. Just got the transmission fluid and filter change to see if that would help. No change. Today I found after about 30 minutes of driving the radiator fluid in the over flow was boiling? Replacing the radiator cap now per a recommendation to see if it helps. Also to mention we did an oil change and oil filter replacement prior to this and the oil pressure gauge is a little higher than normal. Any ideas?
