I'm new to this forum ant I'll try my best present my questions so they aren't old news.
I am looking at a JKS 2" lift kit for my 01 TJ. I believe it's stock suspension. I currently have 31x10.5's for tires.
Would I need to look at anything else to put in it besides this kit? Anyone have experience with this kit?

I plan to build it up later but for now I would like to just get a little more clearance. Thanks in advance

What is your build plan look like? For me it was a daily that can run the forest service/blm roads 4 seasons. No rock gardens, trails that use the word carnage . :) .

I bought the JKS springs- no disconnects, no track bar. Ran stock shocks with some home made extensions for a short while and then went with Rancho shocks.

this is with a small 30’s

this with the 33’sx10.5- no other changes Then a 1” spacer to dial in rim backspacing.

I think JKS runs a little higher on a lift like 2.5 so you are right at the cusp of driveline vibration. The heavier spare put most of that to an end but just Know vibrations might be a thing to address.

Eventually my plan is to do a 4" lift. I don't want to trade height for highway stability. But for now I think 2 - 2.5 will work.
What did you do for the shock extension?
How does your rig do on the highway?
Thanks for the insight.

I've been genuinely curious why the forum advocates for OME springs so much VS say a dual rate coil spring like this.

I see the front 2" Pro-Comps in Chris "how to" thread are still available but the rears aren't.....which makes one peruse for alternatives

80mph interstate speed-limits in Idaho ,does just fine. More stable than oem springs were when I bought it. OEM might have been a little on the tired side at 18years but the JKS are also slightly larger on wire gauge. For the shocks just a matter of longer bolts and a spacer on the t bar mount side. A 1” extension doesn’t give you all the suspension range that’s available but I like to step through the process when I can. It sufficed while I looked for an opportunity buy on the shocks.

If 4” is the direction you’re going , the body lift @Irun suggested might be something to consider. It is something you would keep if you’re moving up to the wider 33-35” tires down the road.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the springs you mentioned. I have more research to do for the shocks. Not sure on those yet.

If you're planning to lift it 4" later, why not just add a 1" aluminum spacer for now. Or, you could go with Blaine's 1.25" body lift. Going this route would get you a little more clearance and hold you over until you do the lift you want.

I have issues with the body mount rails to work out. Both sides under the doors are rather rotted away. For now I just wanted to freshen up the springs and shocks. I am not able to get into the serious lift until I can get the body mount issues corrected. I just had the framework done and that was a good chunk of change.

Anyone have JKS 2" springs on a Jeep with winch?? Is the ride height significantly lower because of the winch?? It seems that's the case with OME 2933 heavy duty springs which may sag an inch or more with a winch up front. Then require a spacer to maintain a 2" plus lift despite a higher spring rate than the stockish 2932 springs.

Intrigued by the multi rate coils of the JKS springs for possible on road ride quality and off road down travel. The question is do they actually work in real life any better than a constant rate spring?? Other than OME, anyone else publish spring rates for their's whether multi or linear rate springs??

Any recommendations for spring manufactures. Need/want to keep the lift at 2.5" or 2" so I don't need a ladder to climb in. Have a 1 1/4" body lift on 32" 265/70/17 tires but will be going to 33" tires when the old ones wear out.
