JL/JT Axle Swap Details

speaking of spending, I’ve been piecing there rest of the components for the front axle. The mopar hub bearing bolts run $60 a piece! Absolutely nuts

Check to see if there is a Dorman equivalent. The Dana 60 unit bearing stud/nut sets from Dorman were expensive at $60 a side for a set of 4, but way better than $60 each.

Don't see Dorman, but try Crown:

Crown Automotive Steering Knuckle to Hub Bolts 34201535

Looks like those are for the Dana 30 axles. I wonder if my old hub bolts will fit the new bearings…hmm.

A company sells these

Just don’t know if it would matter to go with a basic bolts like these over the oem type

Looks like the TJ bolts are too long and not enough thread

Did some research…
It looks like the JL hub bolts are m12x1.75x75.50 $62ea
The JK hub bolts are
M12x1.75x75.00 $18ea

Does anyone think that extra .50 mm in length will be the deciding factor of failure or not properly fitting?

2 thoughts though I'm far from an expert.

Can you cut off the self centering portion of the bolts to have them fit? Do you need that part?

And, a 1/2mm is very very small

Maybe. It was the last thing I did in the garage before I quit for the day. I have some washers that I could use to see if I can atleast snug it up. But I think to keep it someone close to stock, I may go with the JK crown hub bolts which are $5 and some change a piece at quadratec.
.50mm is equal to .02in. Very very minimal difference between the two bolt lengths
