Yes, you got it right.

Here are my OEM ones, you can see which end has been exposed to the elements, and the three little divots which help clamp it in place.

Are these same for all four corners or they have separate part numbers for front and rear? My 2004 TJ was built in 11/2003 and jounce bumpers are black (below) so can I replace them with the one in your picture!

On my 2000 with stock suspension is there supposed to be jounce bumpers on top and bump stops on the perch? Checking it out I only see jounce bumpers and nothing on the perch. My front jounce bumpers are completely gone, anyone had luck squeezing new ones inside the spring and installing? If need be I could expand the spring with a twist in spring expander, or use the expanders with the all thread and notched plates.

I’ve done it before. When installing my lift, I got everything back together and realized I forgot to put them in. I lubed the jounce up with dawn dish soap, squeezed it between the spring and then fished it up into place just reaching with both hands in between the springs and walking it up. They popped right in no problem.
