Knocking front end

Just started getting a knock when I accelerate or let off gas sounds like it’s coming from front driver side stop as around 5th gear or I just can’t here it I have an 05 6 speed 4.0 anyone run into this before? Have any clue where I should start looking?

Could be the catalytic converter

Take a look at the sway bar links up front (bounce it around) to confirm they are both good. Sometime they separate internally but look fine to the eye.

Possible ujoint in front axle? Get a buddy to turn the steering wheel back and forth while you are underneath looking for a bit of movement or slop in all the steering and suspension. Jack the front end and try to get the axle Ujoints to move or knock when the tire point different directions. Also try and see if the drive shaft ujoints are needing replacement.
