Looking around at non Mopar climate control modules, many of the reviews say get the Mopar don't waste your money on these. Are they all junk and the $200 Mopar is the way to go?

Nope, just don't want to buy something that's going to go out after 3 months just to save, well about $150 less than OEM
No actual experience but I'd buy the Chinese junk and see what happens.
New Mopar = Stellantis = usually overseas junk.

I have an eBay aftermarket HVAC control panel. Going on three years with it.
The control indents are a little vague but it works fine.. plug and play

My son tried an EBay aftermarket unit. It didn’t fix his issue but the issue changed. Weird. I don’t trust them. Better safe than sorry IMO.
I got mine from NAPA, if I recall it is a Standard Ignition product. It was around $75 and going on 2 years with it now. I did install relays on my 2 highest speeds to keep the high current out of the switch.
edit: Just looked at my receipt, it was Echlin which is a premium Standard Ignition brand. I paid more than I remembered though, $143. It has a 3 year warranty.

I likewise bought the linked Standard panel on my 2005 and confirm the vacuum lines were too short. I was able to install it (barely) by re-routing those a bit. That panel didn't resolve my issue but I kept the OEM part, which I might reinstall at some point. OBTW, I paid $24+ on Amazon Resale last August vs current $100+ price, so less $$ lost if so.

I ended up swapping the unit from the 05 TJ into the 05 LJ since I was troubleshooting a problem. But it's great to know you were able to make it work.

That's the route I would go assuming they actually have it. Some websites have shown it discontinued since the last time I looked. Best of luck.
