I recently purchased a Bestop Black Diamond Trektop NX to replace the deteriorating top that was on the Jeep when I bought it (the rear window zipper seams were starting to unstitch and the zipper itself finally gave way).

The Bestop quality and fit are excellent and have gotten better as the weather has warmed. (I installed it on a day it was in the mid-60s.)

I think the sunroof feature is terrific. The front half of the top unlatches and folds back giving you almost instant top-off experience.

It is QUIET. We can now converse at highway speeds where before we had to shout.

I had an initial problem with leaks at the tailgate. I contacted Customer Service and their first inclination was that the tailgate bar might be trimmed wrong. They sent a replacement immediately (which I did not need because the original was correct.)

Subsequently, Nick at Bestop and I concluded that the rear window just needed to break in and relax a little to make full contact with the top of the tailgate, but before that Bestop offered to send a new rear window at no charge! I turned down that offer because the combination of window relaxation and some supplemental door trim along the top of the tailgate has eliminated leaks there. The cargo area stays dry as a bone in heavy rain. The point is, their customer service was phenomenal.

Bestop already enjoys a good reputation here. They deserve it. Spend the extra when you're replacing your soft top. In this case, you absolutely get what you pay for.

Nick sent me a replacement rear window on my Trektop NX too

Glad to hear it!

I had an issue with my Bestop years ago when I purchased it new. They made it right no questions asked. Glad to hear some companies believe in customer service.

Bestop is the Best Top company out there. They sent me parts for free to correct my top problems and I didn't even buy the top, it was on my 2006 Jeep when I bought it in 2018, and even though it looked brand new, IIRC it was 7 years old.

They've come a long way, for me anyway. First time I bought a replacement top for my Jeep I wanted the Sailcloth which was new at the time. But I have the full doors and they didn't sell a top specifically for a Jeep with full doors so you had to get the full shebang. I called them and asked why can't I just purchase the top, side and back windows without the two door windows and the guy replies, "because it just doesn't come that way!"

Ended up selling the two door windows to a Surgeon on craigslist who needed replacements for his hunting Jeep so worked out well. Sidenote: I remember he offered a trade of a 30' above ground pool that his wife won in a work raffle. I pondered it since it was already hotass summer at the time but when I got back to him she sold it in a garage sale. I still laugh at that.
