Leak

i have a leak between the transmission and the plate on the transmission. Cant figure it out. Any ideas? Its not the rear main seal the engine has no oil on it at all. I just changed the oil and it is clean . The leaking fluid is a dark black color.

Any issues with the clutch slipping or not fully disengaging?

1st suspect is engine oil.
2nd would be the transmission fluid.
3rd would be the clutch master/slave cylinder hydraulic fluid.

Rear main seal is the most common followed by the valve cover. Check the back of the valve cover, if it isn't leaking it is your rear main. I have no idea what you mean by "the engine has no oil on it at all."

The small plug on the back can leak... can also be transmission input seal.

I have no idea what you mean by "the engine has no oil on it at all." check for oil on the the valve cover none there. no oil on the oil pan or up by the rear seal.

I had to replace my front transmission input seal , I have a automatic transmission. So the fluid that wasleaking was red. That’s had I could tell if was not the rear main seal. Anyways here’s a pic of how that looked like . Hope that helps.

@luckytuc did you figure out what the issue was, I have same problem, thinking it is seal as well...
