LED dash light replacements

I thought I had seen where some one replaced their instrument panel lights with LEDs and listed the sizes etc. I could not find that thread anymore.
I have a 1997 TJ 4L 6 cyl. is there a light on the instrument panel which indicates if the 4 wheel drive is engaged? I do not have any knowledge if my 4 wheel is engaged. If so is there a light on the dash? and if so how hard is it to remove instrument panel and change all bulbs out to LEDs.
And what size LEDs and how many to I need to order? Thanks

Your transfercase shifter is a pretty good indicator of whether or not you are in 4wd.
