But back then if you wanted to go fast off road they were the go to in factory suspension.
In the Rockies , TTB was great if you where selling front tires . I've seen F-250 eat a set of fronts to the steel belts in 6500 miles pushing hard in the corners on asphalt . On F-150's or Broncos climbing steep grades off road the front end would get severe axle tramp , bouncing like a basketball with 100 p.s.i.
But they could get good travel when modified for Baja racing !
