I'm sure someone here is smart enough to sort this out, but would certainly appreciate any thoughts:
My 2004 Rubicon has an elocker in the back and the factory Dana 44 in the front. The rear is NOT connected to anything.
I have 2 issues I would appreciate some assistance diagnosing/confirming my diagnosis:
1. The front locker will engage and lock (front axle illuminated solid) but will not disengage unless I drop the vehicle out of 4-Low. As soon as I hit neutral it drops right out. This happens with the cover on or off, so I'm going to say it isn't the fill plug
2. Apparently the battery died while I've been working on the car. After putting it on a charger today, the rear locker light (again the locker itself is not connected to anything) flashes all the time. Key in the ignition or on the kitchen table, the Rear Axle light is flashing. It didn't do this when I bought the vehicle last month, so I assume there must be a way to reset it or something?
My assessment of this combination of issues is that the locker switch/dash controls are bad and I should just get rid of it and go to manual triggers for both, although this doesn't seem like it would solve #2 problem above.
Thanks in advance - all advice welcome!
Doug
