Looking at an LJ: what should I look for?

hi so I’m lookin At this 2005 lj rubicon in good condition. It has about 100,000 miles and is rust free. It has a 3 inch lift and 35’s. I was just wondering what I should watch out for and how much do it think something like that is worth? It’s also got nice speakers and winch...etc

Value is largely going to depend on where it’s located and the condition / rust. Do you have a link to the vehicle for sale or any photos of it?

There is an LJ specific area under the passenger door that rusts on the LJs here. So much that you can see inside the cab through the side of the jeep. Other than that just the standard TJ stuff. Being that it's an 05 ask if the OPDA or cam sensor has been replaced. If not it's something you may want to consider doing. Not a deal breaker for sure, just an extra bit of service history.

For a rubi, check that both lockers engage as well.

There is no difference between inspecting an LJ against a regular TJ.
**** Watch for proper lift for 35" is a bit aggressive even if it's a Rubi.
I prefer stock to start my own at it's very simplest shape and function, and so, I may be bias and not receptive about the "already lifted" rig.
Now, regarding the lifted suspension, there are way too many mechanical items to look at and worry about. You gotta be at least a grease head.
