Manual to auto SKIM question

I have a 2003 TJ Rubicon manual and I found a guy who has scrapped his 2003 TJ auto. All he has left is the engine, 42rle, pcm, tcm, keys, and SKIM module. My question is on the instrument cluster. If I keep the one I have on it at the moment, would that be an issue with the SKIM? Does it just scan for the SKIM and verifies that it's there or is the VIN stored in it as well and tries to match it to the PCM?

Still nobody? The asking price on the drivetrain is good and I wanna pull the trigger.

I’m pretty sure the SKIM info is stored in the PCM and not the cluster. The cluster doesn’t store info (except mileage) and just relays info from the PCM.

So as long as you have the auto PCM, SKIM, and keys, it should all function properly.
