Hey gang, my 2.4 with 160k miles has started to need multiple cranks attempts to start. some times it starts with two cranks minimum but other times it needs like 6+ attempts. i"ll crank then turn off ignition and wait to hear the fuel pump turn on before cranking again. once it starts it idles and drives fine. what might you think the problem is; injectors, fuel pump, sensors of some sort?

Before starting it, cycle the key on and off 3 - 4 times. Then try to start it. If it starts easily, you've got a fuel pump/pressure problem.

Any check engine light? I’ve seen an unplugged CKPS start up with long crank times, but it obviously had a light on.

also anyone have any luck with the cheaper ones or should i shell out the $250 for whatever orielys has.

if u had a good cheaper for the jeeper: any links?
