What’s the max tire size, height and width, I can run on my stock tire carrier and tailgate hinges, without damaging the hinges and tailgate?

I ran a 33x12.5 for 13yrs with no issues on my stock tire carrier. I was always carefull (the best I could) opening and closing it. I would say you should be fine for a little while running 33x12.5 until you can upgrade the tire carrier.

Ran a 35 with a spacer for a few years, wheeling often. You just have to extend the snubbed to match.

No I pulled it off but my adapter also raised the tire a bit. You could space it up a bit so it clears the tire though. Personally I just mounted a small round led in the hub opening and used that.

We have 33x12.50/15's. Spare on the back is the same. PO must have done some serious off roading and had to do some creative welding since the weight of the tire/wheel caused the back door itself to crack right down the middle. Didn't help much. First week we owned it, we went around a corner, and the back door flexed and swung open, spare and all, all by itself! No bueno. By the next week, we had a SB XRC bumper and tire carrier put on. Problem solved.

My wife's old Jeep came with 33x 13.50 15s 10 ply nitto extreme terrains and it ripped the tire carrier off the door we bought it that way and they didn't have an answer as to how it happened
