We're you in during the original dark brown wrapped MRE's with the dehydrated pork patty?
It beat the beef patty, but that's not really saying much. Couldn't even trade it for the chicken-a-la-king.

I spent a month at NTC testing the "NEW" MRE's in 1984 and lost 15 pounds because we had MRE's 2 times a day and only 1 hot.
I didn’t have much weight to lose, but did almost three weeks in Guyana in 1990 with the same eating regime. Two MRE’s and one T-rat for the entire time. Chicken-ala-spew even started to taste good.
