Yep looks like about the same for me. I started in 1978.. They sure changed a lot between then and 2004.

I was a 31K (Combat Signaler) before I went ADA, they pounded that into us in AIT. I'd break them to about 3" long and carry them in the forbidden bottom pocket of my bdus

Damn Radios. Hated jumping into week long field problems. Had to carry enough radios for 48hours for three radios. 31C that got stuck being the S3 driver/RTO at 82nd Artillery. Spent more time in the field when the infantry guys. My S3 started making his Assistant S3 and other officers in the shop carry extra batteries when my pack got to over half my body weight LOL
