I don't mean to brag, but if I recall, I cleared CIF with no issues other than they wanted me to go launder a sleeping bag piece I never used because it didn't smell like detergent. I had washed the part I used, but not another layer I never needed. Spent like $5 at a laundromat and then was cleared.

In the numerus post I was at every CIF seemed to give me grief about a different item.... My only time clearing CIF was easy was when I was being medicalled out after Iraq. And that was because most of my gear had been left in Iraq and I had a letter to the fact... They still gave me grief.
