I found this while cleaning out my garage this afternoon. It is a new Mopar 4.0 water pump, Mopar 68382492aa. Figured I'd post here before sticking it on Marketplace.

$175 shipped in the lower 48-states.

I put the same PN on my 2000. I believe the 98+ are the same.
I was sure that the block change was different but now I'm not sure. I completely missed that the change followed the different mounting style from four bolts to the single spin on nut. This says 02 and down, I thought the coil rail motors started the pump change.

I thought all the coil blocks were the same. This is the same PN that I put on my 2000 last year when I replaced it. This was bought as a spare for the event Mopar stopped making them.

Here is what I got from Mopar on the PN. Not sure why they say it won't fit the 2000, but I can confirm that it went on mine. Unless at some point someone changed the engine in it.

I'm lost now. Casually, we've always looked at the switch to the coil rail in 2000 to determine the block and water pump fitment. That followed what we found trying to source a core to have a 4.0 rebuilt. We needed a 97-99 to keep it simple and use the same water pump.

Let's make it even more confusing...

I wonder if it has to do with the Federal emissions in 2000 changing mid-year to dual cats to match California emissions? Mine had the dual cats.

Thats interesting..... it indicates it will fit a 2001, but shows a flange.
My 2001 built in 09/00 has the threaded nub instead of the flange.
