so I had a Savvy 1.25" body lift for a long time and finally got to installing a 1" steering riser bracket from M.O.R.E. I noticed my steering felt significantly heavier during the first drive than it did before. I noticed the steering shaft is still not fully centered in the firewall so I started pushing and prodding the firewall grommet and it actually popped off on its own. Steering got better but still a little heavy. so I know it is was the main contributor to the change but there must be something else. Here are my two questions:
1- How can I get the steering shaft centered in the firewall hole so the grommet is not rubbing as much?
2-Is there anything else that could be contributing to the heavy steering feel?
Appreciate everyone's thoughts/help.
*note on the picture, the witness mark on the shaft is from the time I ran the body lift without the bracket, clearly it was rubbing.
