Thought you didn’t like the MT/R’s?

Keep looking at the Bosses and maybe you won’t even have to balance them, like mine.

The MT/R’s weren’t very good on wet roads. I had a near accident with my mechanic (at the time). We both slid past each other as we crossed a cattle guard. There must have been mere inches between us. Good thing I was in a TJ and he was in an XJ. We were narrow enough to avoid colliding. However, my MT/R’s were near the end of their lifespan, so I’m warming up to trying them again. On a 17” wheel they’re one of the few with load C, and I always liked the Kevlar sidewall, especially now that I run without a spare. I might see how siping them helps with the wet and snow if I decide on this tire.

I’ll keep looking at the bosses. Not having to balance them would be a huge plus. That would indicate a well-built tire.

Just another MT. Where’s the Kevlar? No load C. I guess I will do more hunting. I had good experience with Cooper STT Pros. The Bosses look solid.

Likewise, I've been pleasantly surprised by the STT Pros on our local trails. It's the first tire that I'm considering airing down LESS on.

All the swampers I've run were very very noisy.like headache and or tinnitus noisy after more than a few miles.definitely ear plugs or earbuds to preserve my hearing.Though i do that anyway when the doors are off.

But i love running around on them at low speeds or on the trail.they are mean looking! Throw a pitbull or rott in the back and go scare every karen you can find!

They flat spot and shake for a few miles,longer when its cold.they need extreme amounts of weight to balance sometimes too.

They are very heavy compared to street friendly tires.that and the aggressive tread with high rolling resistance will have you staying out of overdrive wondering where your hp went at highway speeds.your mpg's and range will tank also.

But,they are sexy! And depending on how far and fast you drive they are tolerable. I have some ltb's on a second set of rims i use for certain wheeling and camping trips. Its the best of both worlds for me.just part of the raw jeep experience with no doors or top!

None of ya'll have ever spent LONG hours in a military vehicle obviously.

I had no issues running 60 MPH down a road and still hear my radio or carry on a conversation with a passenger.
And I didn't have these tires balanced either but never had problems with them.

Should try ridding in a duce with the turbo whistle and the tires humming down the road. But my expectations might not be on the same level as others here.
